Time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Tuesday during the school term

About Girls’ Brigade Australia

Girls’ Brigade exists “to help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life”. Our vision is to see girls come into a relationship with a living God and to be able to actively and enthusiastically express their love for God and others through their communities. Girls learn the motto which is “Seek, Serve and Follow Christ”.

Can I Join?

Yes, you can join us at anytime, bring your friends. You will be assigned to a group with other girls who are of a similar age, so it is easy to meet and make new friends and have a great time together. Age range includes:
Cadets: Prep to Grade 2
Juniors: Grade 3 to Grade 6
Seniors: Grade 7 & Grade 8
Pioneers: Grade 9 upwards

Is there a uniform and cost to join?

Yes, 1st Pine Rivers Girls’ Brigade is a uniformed brigade with a sash for the presentation of badges; please contact us to find out more.

What can I expect at Girls’ Brigade?

Creativity and fun activities:
Cooking and eating
Art and craft
Music and singing
Learning Girls’ Brigade knowledge
Playing games and lots more

Achievement and development:
You can learn new skills and learn new things through participating in a variety of age appropriate activities
You can earn achievement badges through Church attendance and completing certain tasks and activities during the year
Girls who earn badges can display them on their uniform sash
The types of achievements badges you can earn will vary depending on the group you are in.

Activities for older girls – Senior and Pioneer:
Each year Senior girls have the opportunity to attend a Seniors Camp
Pioneers level girls commence Leadership Training

Devotions:
Girls’ Brigade is a Christian based group for girls and therefore time is devoted to help you learn about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ

Camps and fun nights and activities:
During the year we have fun nights
Divisional activities where girls will meet other girls from surrounding companies in a fun environment such as:- Billy Cart racing, Canoe racing, Volleyball competitions, teddy bear picnics’ etc
We also go on camps as a Brigade, contact us to find out more

Safe environment:
All our leaders and volunteers have Blue Cards. This is a mandatory requirement.
All our leaders and volunteers have also completed the uniting church child safe program. This is a mandatory requirement.
